Setup
Do I need the companion extension? For Blast Studio, yes. The theme alone renders the storefront and client area, but the live editor, drafts and revision history live in the companion extension.
I switched to Blast but see the old theme. Clear the caches — in Settings → System use the cache clear action, or on the server run php artisan optimize:clear and php artisan view:clear — then hard-refresh your browser with Ctrl/⌘ + Shift + R. If you use a CDN, purge it too.
My changes do not appear on the live site. Settings changed in Studio go to a draft first. Press Publish. Settings changed in Admin → Settings → Theme apply immediately — but Studio presents the same settings, so use one place at a time.
The admin says themes or extensions are not writable. This happens after some container restarts, because Paymenter resets permissions. Re-apply your usual ownership and permissions to themes/blast, extensions/Others/Blast and storage/app/public/blast. It is standard Paymenter behaviour, not specific to Blast.
Blast Studio
The Studio preview does not load. Press the reload button next to the address bar. If it still fails, make sure the extension is enabled and that you are signed in as an admin.
Can I break my live store by experimenting? No. Everything you change lands in a draft, and the live store keeps using the last published version until you press Publish. You can also Discard the draft or restore any earlier revision from History.
What do the labels in the preview mean? Blue labels name the settings group; amber labels name a single text field. Click either to jump to it in the editor. Press H to hide them.
I cannot find a setting. Press Ctrl/⌘ + K in Studio and search. The search covers every setting, including the ones in Advanced.
Text I edit in the preview changes back. Some page text lives in a different section, for example the footer. Click the amber label to open the exact field, edit it there and save.
Restoring a revision did not change the live site. Restoring applies to the draft, not the live site. Review the preview, then press Publish.
Export or import fails. Import only accepts a file produced by Studio's own export. Anything else is rejected.
Studio feels slow on big pages. Turn off the homepage sections you do not use. The preview renders your whole real page, so more sections means more work.
Store and checkout
Prices look wrong. Prices come from Paymenter, not Blast. Check your product plans, currencies and tax settings in the admin.
The billing period switch shows fewer options than I expect. It only lists billing periods your products actually use. If a period is missing, no product in that category offers it.
Can customers pay? Blast does not configure payment. Set up your gateway in Paymenter first; the checkout then offers it in the Blast style automatically.
The cart does not show the sign-in panel. It only appears for guests, and only while Store & checkout → Cart & checkout → Sign in on the cart is on. Signed-in customers see the normal checkout button. When registration is disabled in Paymenter, the panel shows sign-in only.
A customer signed in from the cart and lost their cart. Make sure the extension is enabled. It registers the middleware that returns the customer to their cart after signing in.
My product specs do not show on category cards. Check Store & checkout → Category page → Specs on category cards. Without specs, cards show the bullet list read from the product description.
The checkout progress bar is missing. It is turned off under Store & checkout → Checkout progress.
Client area
The command palette shortcut does nothing. Make sure Search palette is enabled in Client area, and that keyboard focus is on the page — click somewhere first. The shortcut will not fire while you are typing in a field.
The sidebar looks different from the screenshots. Five layouts ship with Blast. Check which one is selected in Client area → Layout; each has its own character by design.
The profile card is blank. It falls back to the customer's initials when no avatar is uploaded.
Sign-in pages
OAuth buttons are missing. They only appear when you have configured the corresponding providers in Paymenter.
The sign-in page is heavy on mobile. In Sign in & sign up, set Mobile visual to hidden or compact, or choose the Minimal design.
Every page says "Login to continue". Those are theme strings. Edit the label in Sign in & sign up.
E-mails, PDFs and translations
E-mails still look like the old design. Clear the compiled views and restart your queue workers, because they can hold old settings:
sh
php artisan view:clear
php artisan queue:restartThe invoice PDF is unstyled. PDF views were cached. Clear the views and regenerate the invoice.
The logo is missing in e-mails. Upload a logo under Blast Studio → Header & menu → Logo & favicon, or keep the bundled wordmark. Very large PNGs may be blocked by some mail clients — 640px wide is plenty.
The logo is missing in the PDF. The PDF prefers the dark logo variant, which is dark ink for white paper. Upload both variants if you use a custom mark.
The e-mail preview is blank. The preview uses your latest invoice. Create one invoice first, then reopen the panel.
Part of my store is still in English for other languages. Text you typed in Blast Studio is translated per language in the Studio's language menu. Untranslated text falls back to your default language on purpose.
A language or currency is missing. Add it in Paymenter's own settings. The switcher shows everything Paymenter knows about.
Cookies, SEO and errors
My analytics does not fire. If cookie consent is on and analytics is a consent category, your script only runs after the visitor accepts. That is intended. Paste analytics code only in the Analytics scripts field.
The sitemap only lists the homepage. Only visible categories, products and published custom pages are listed. Check that your categories and products are not hidden and that your pages are published.
Maintenance mode shows for staff too. Add your IP under Pages, SEO & privacy → Maintenance mode → Allowed IPs, or sign in as an admin.
Payments stopped during maintenance. They should not — webhooks, API endpoints and sign-in are exempt. If they did stop, check that the extension is enabled and that nothing changed the middleware order.
The 500 page shows the default design. Error views were cached. Run php artisan view:clear.
Performance
The first load feels slow. Check these in order: only enable the homepage sections you use; use the Minimal auth design if auth pages matter; and make sure your server serves storage/app/public with caching headers, which is the standard Paymenter setup. Blast's assets ship pre-built and minified.
A very large logo slows the header. Use an SVG or a compressed WebP.
Animations feel heavy on low-end devices. Blast honours the system reduced-motion preference everywhere, including the icon set, the hero scene and section animations. Visitors who ask for less motion get none.
Still stuck?
Open a ticket with:
- your Paymenter version, shown in the admin footer
- what you were editing — the panel and the section
- what you expected and what happened
- a screenshot if the problem is visual
That is usually enough to solve it on the first reply.
