E-mails & invoices

Blast themes every e-mail Paymenter sends and the invoice your customers download — without touching a core file. Everything lives in Blast Studio → E-mails & invoices, with a live preview of the real e-mail and the real invoice beside the settings.

The e-mail shell

Every notification e-mail — invoice created, paid or failed, new order, service activated, suspended or terminated, cancellation received, ticket replies, new-login alerts, address verification and password resets — is rendered in the Blast design, matching your store:

  • A header band with the technical grid, a soft horizon glow and a hairline horizon, your logo or the Blast wordmark, your store address and an optional tagline.
  • A charcoal surface card with hairlines and a lit top edge, using Sora headings and Plus Jakarta Sans body text — or whichever fonts you picked in Style.
  • Smart notification styling. Paymenter's own text is upgraded automatically: a status pill (Payment Confirmed, Payment Due, Action Required, Billing, Service, Security, Support), the amount in an inset well, hairline data tables, key-value wells, a quoted message box for ticket replies, security alerts, and a brand-blue button with a soft glow.
  • A footer with quick links, optional social links, your footer text and the copyright line.

Colours, fonts and corner radius come straight from Style, so the e-mails always match your store — change your brand blue and the e-mails follow, including the header glow.

The shell is a table-based layout with everything inlined on purpose, so it survives Gmail, Outlook, Apple Mail and their dark modes. Your Studio fonts load where the mail client allows web fonts and fall back to the system stack elsewhere.

Two designs

DesignLooks like
Blast (charcoal) — defaultYour store in dark mode: charcoal canvas and card, paper-white text, brand blue only as light. Stays charcoal in every mail client
Minimal (light)Your store in light mode: cool-white canvas, white card, contrast-capped colours. Switches to the charcoal design automatically in dark-mode mail clients

What Paymenter sends does not change

Only the design changes. Editing the notification wording itself still happens in Paymenter's own notification settings, exactly as before.

Settings

Preview any e-mail

In Studio, open E-mails & invoices → E-mail design. The preview shows a real invoice e-mail built from your own store data. Use the Pages picker in the preview bar to switch to Invoice paid, Payment failed, Service activated, Ticket reply, New login alert, Verify address or Password reset.

Hover labels work here too — hover the header and click to jump straight to the right setting.

The invoice and PDF

The downloadable invoice PDF, attached to every invoice e-mail, is a Blast document in one of two styles.

StyleCharacter
DocumentThe classic invoice sheet: logo, invoice number, issued-to and bill-to blocks, item table and totals
ReceiptCompact and status-led: a coloured status bar with the amount, then the details

Both share your brand:

  • Logo from your branding settings, embedded directly into the PDF — no remote images and no broken links.
  • Accent colour — brand blue or charcoal — on the status chip, totals and table rules.
  • Status colour — green paid, amber pending, grey cancelled.
  • Footer note and company line — a thank-you line plus address or VAT details.

The same Invoice page & PDF setting also upgrades the invoice page inside the client area: with Receipt selected, a status strip with the amount appears above the details, matching the PDF.

Settings

SettingWhat it does
Invoice page & PDFDocument or Receipt

Show logo on invoiceOn or off
Invoice footer noteFor example "Thank you for your business." Blank hides it
Company lineAddress, VAT or registration details under the note. Blank hides it

Preview the invoice

Open E-mails & invoices → Invoice & receipt. The preview shows the real PDF layout using your latest invoice. Switch between Document and Receipt and watch it change live before publishing.

Build e-mails block by block

Studio → E-mails & invoices → E-mail layout turns every notification e-mail into a composed page. Blocks render inside the branded shell, above and below the notification content.

BlockWhat it does
Notification contentWhere Paymenter puts the message — the invoice table, ticket text, order details. Move it anywhere, or hide it to send a short custom e-mail instead
HeadingA section title, small, normal or large, left or centred
TextA paragraph with bold, italic and links. {company} and {year} fill in automatically
ButtonA call to action — solid accent or outline, left or centred
NoticeA tinted callout in accent, success, warning or danger
Facts panelA bordered panel of label and value rows, ideal for order summaries
ImageA banner or illustration with width, corners and an optional link
DividerA hairline separator
SpacerSmall, medium or large vertical space
Social linksYour footer social links, as text links

Drag blocks to reorder them, toggle any block off without deleting it, and watch the preview update live. Everything goes through the normal draft → publish flow, so a layout can never reach customers before you publish it, and Discard puts the previous layout back.

The block layout wraps every notification e-mail at once — invoice, order, service, ticket and account e-mails all share it. Content that does not apply is skipped automatically, such as an empty social row.

Existing stores look unchanged at first

Earlier versions rendered the notification content alone. The first version of your store therefore looks the same as before — blocks only change things once you add them.

Good to know

  • No core edits. The e-mail shell and the PDF are theme views that override Paymenter's. Removing Blast restores the originals instantly.
  • Proforma invoices keep their distinct title automatically.
  • The client-area invoice page respects your selected style, and the PDF in e-mails is generated with the same settings, so what customers see matches what they download.
  • Long invoices break naturally onto extra PDF pages, and the totals stay with the items.
  • Tax and transaction rows disappear automatically when unused, so a simple invoice stays simple.
