Requirements
This checklist is for panel administrators. VPS users only need access to their host's panel and the connection details supplied for their VPS.
Version Compatibility
Check the compatibility list supplied with the exact PteroCloud release you intend to install. Support is not guaranteed for every Pterodactyl, Blueprint, PHP or Proxmox version. Do not upgrade these components independently without checking that list.
Panel Server
- A working Pterodactyl panel on a compatible Linux distribution.
- A PHP version and extensions supported by both the panel and the addon release.
- MySQL or MariaDB and Redis, configured and accessible by the panel.
- HTTPS with a valid certificate for the panel hostname.
- Administrative panel access and root or sudo access for the customer installer.
- Blueprint at a supported version if using a Blueprint package.
- Any PHP loader required by the supplied release, enabled for both web and command-line PHP.
- The system tools and free disk space specified in the release's installation instructions.
Node.js 22 or newer is needed only when the release requires a panel asset build. Follow that release's instructions; do not add a separate development build process.
Queue Workers
Run the queue workers and scheduler required by the release before creating a VPS. Confirm that they restart after a server reboot. Use the service names and configuration supplied with your installation rather than guessing queue names.
Redis
Keep Redis available to the panel and its background services. Resolve connection or authentication errors before setup continues. Do not expose Redis publicly or flush its data as a troubleshooting shortcut.
Proxmox and Networking
- A supported Proxmox VE server or cluster with sufficient CPU, memory and storage.
- A dedicated API token with the permissions needed for your enabled operations.
- Panel-server access to the configured Proxmox HTTPS endpoint.
- Trusted certificates and correctly configured DNS and firewall rules.
- Suitable OS templates, storage and network bridges for the VPSs you will offer.
- IP addresses and gateways assigned to you by your network provider.
See Proxmox Setup, Networking and Images. Console access may require additional services and proxy configuration specified by your release.
Before Installation
Obtain a trusted customer package and valid license from Krapple Studios. Back up the panel files, database and configuration, and verify that you can restore them. Keep backups outside the public web directory. Existing VPS data needs its own backups.
Continue to Installation. If compatibility or loader requirements are unclear, contact [email protected] before proceeding.
