Console
BetaConsole availability depends on the installed release, hosting provider, plan and image. Use only the console types offered for your VPS. If a console option is absent, ask your provider whether it is supported.
For terminal access from your own device, see SSH Access.
Opening a Console
- Sign in to the panel over HTTPS.
- Select the intended VPS and confirm its name before opening a console.
- Choose an available console option and wait for the guest display.
- Sign in with the operating system's credentials if prompted.
- Disconnect when finished, and sign out of the panel on shared devices.
The VPS login may differ from your panel login. Check the selected image for its username and supported login method. A key-only SSH setup does not necessarily provide a password for console login.
Graphical Console
If a graphical console is enabled, use it to inspect the guest display and boot messages. Use scaling or fullscreen controls when available to make the display readable. Keyboard layout differences can affect symbols typed into the guest. Check the layout without exposing a password in a visible text field.
Only send restart key combinations when you intend to restart the operating system. Avoid forced power actions while applications are writing data.
Serial Console
Serial access requires provider support, a compatible image and a guest configured for serial login. A blank serial window alone does not mean the VPS has stopped. If a graphical console is available, use it to check the guest state. Ask your hosting provider about the image's serial-console requirements.
Console Security
Use a trusted device and keep browser certificate validation enabled. Treat console output, clipboard contents and connection links as sensitive. Do not share console links, passwords or screenshots containing credentials. Use only the access permissions needed for your work. Check the provider's privacy information rather than assuming what console activity is retained.
Connection Problems
Check that you are signed in and that the VPS is running. Reopen the console from the instance page after a disconnect. If needed, try a current browser and record the visible error without sensitive content. Do not disable TLS validation or expose extra network ports to work around a console error.
See Troubleshooting for further checks. Contact your hosting provider with the console type, image, time of the failure and redacted error text.
